AI and your content

Last updated October 25, 2026

How AI helps make your ads, who owns what you make, and what you are responsible for.

How AI is used in Video Story Ads

AI tools help create your ads, including the written material, captions and ad text.

When you choose to, AI tools and media-making partners can also make voiceovers, images and video clips for you. These actions use credits, and the cost is shown in the app before you confirm.

You can also bring your own voiceover, images and clips.

Who owns what

You own your uploads. You also own the scripts, media and finished videos you make in the app, to the extent the law allows.

Laws about who owns AI-made material are still developing and differ by country. Some AI-made material may not be protected by copyright where you live. We do not claim any ownership of it either way.

AI output may sometimes look or sound like other work. Review your ad before you use it.

Rights to your uploads

You must have the rights to everything you upload, including:

  • Voices. You recorded them yourself, or you have permission from the speaker.
  • Faces and people. You have permission from anyone who can be recognized.
  • Music. You own it or have a license that covers ads.
  • Logos and brand assets. They are yours, or you have permission to use them.
  • Footage and images. You made them or hold a license that covers this use.

Real people's voices and likenesses

Do not clone a real person's voice, or make images or clips of a real person, without their clear permission. This includes celebrities, public figures, and people you know.

Characters made in the app should be invented characters unless you have permission from the real person they are based on.

No deceptive ads

  • Do not present an AI character or actor as a real customer giving a real testimonial.
  • Do not make false health claims or promises of results.
  • Do not impersonate any person, brand or organization.

A story ad can be dramatized. It cannot pretend to be something it is not.

Review before you publish

AI can make mistakes. It can get facts wrong, mispronounce words, add odd details to images, or produce hands, text or faces that look off. Check every part of your ad and watch your finished video all the way through before you publish it.

You are responsible for everything in an ad you publish, including the claims in the script.

Disclosing AI-made content

Many ad platforms and some laws require you to label content that is made or changed with AI, especially realistic people or voices. Follow each platform's rules and the law where your ads run. When in doubt, disclose.

How your content is handled

To make media, we send the needed parts of your project to AI tools and media-making partners. Our privacy policy explains this. We do not sell your content.
